REGISTRATION & LOGISTICS INFORMATION
1) TIME AND PLACE:
Tuesday and Wednesday, March 2 & 3, at the Seventh Day Adventist Florida Conference Center, 655 Wymore Road, Winter Park, Florida. Both sessions will run from 9:00 AM until 5:00 PM, with registration beginning at 8:15 AM. Continental breakfast and light lunch will be provided.
2) REQUIREMENTS:
- Attendance at both sessions is required to obtain a certificate.
- Pre-requisite: Complete the free three-hour online course in the Incident Command System at http://emilms.fema.gov/IS100A/index.htm. Please bring your FEMA certificate with you to the session. (The Disaster Chaplain course includes supplementary ICS modules as a reminder of ICS principles and functions, but does not replace IS-100.)

4) REGISTRATION FEE:
Please send in the REGISTRATION FEE of $195 by check or money order. Mail the check with your registration form. Make checks out to NDIN as directed on the registration form.

This curriculum is compliant with NIMS (National Incident Management Systems) and incorporates FEMA Incident Command System (IS 100) training. It also complies with the National VOAD* Points of Consensus for Disaster Spiritual Care.

Organizations Active in Disaster
This two-day training prepares faith leaders or institutional chaplains to volunteer as disaster chaplains in mass care settings or to serve as disaster chaplains within their house of worship, religious community or professional institution. Each registrant must be endorsed for this training and/or currently serve as a professional chaplain and/or credentialed religious leader. Emergency managers and mental health professionals may register using their agency affiliation.

How to work as members of an interdisciplinary team within the Incident Command System
- What to expect at disaster sites
- How to provide Spiritual First Aid and Psychological First Aid
- How to make appropriate assessments and referrals to Mental Health and other services
- How to develop and maintain holistic self-care practices
